Langjokull Glacier Adventure

Drive from Akranes to Husafell where you will join an adventure to the Langjokull glacier.

Translated as “long glacier”, Iceland’s second largest glacier stretches for 950 square kilometres and lies over two volcanic systems and a range of hyaloclastite mountains.

You have the option to ride in a specially modified monster truck or take thrilling snowmobile drive to the entrance of the ice cap, from where you can go beneath the ice sheet.
The views from on top of the glacier are spectacular and the man made ice tunnels inside let you discover the beauty of the mighty glacier. Definitely a unique experience!

Depending on the time schedule of your ship, it is possible to stop at some of the sights in West Iceland on our way back.
