Whale Watching Husavik

Join us for a 3-hour guided whale watching tour in Skjálfandi Bay, one of Iceland’s most renowned locations for spotting marine life. Departing from the town of Húsavík, this tour offers excellent opportunities to observe whales, dolphins, and seabirds in their natural environment.

With a whale sighting success rate of over 97% across the last three decades, Húsavík is considered the whale watching capital of Iceland. Our main focus is to spot and appreciate marine mammals, including minke whales, humpback whales, dolphins, and occasionally blue whales – the largest animals on the planet. Each trip is different, and depending on the season and conditions, you may also see species such as killer whales or fin whales.

You’ll sail on a traditional Icelandic oak boat equipped with spacious viewing decks for optimal visibility. Our experienced crew members are certified professionals who will share insights on the wildlife and the ecosystem of Skjálfandi Bay throughout the tour.

In addition to whales, the bay is home to a variety of seabirds, including puffins, Arctic terns, and other coastal species that are often seen during the trip.
