Enjoy a guided hike in the hills above the fjord of Seydisfjordur town. Your guide will give you an insight into the history of the fjord and also tell you stories from the devastating landslides that occurred in Seyðisfjörður just a few days before Christmas 2020 when the entire town was evacuated.
You will also visit the unique sound sculpture “tvísöngur” made by the German artist Lukas Kuhne.
To bring
As you know weather can change quite fast here in Iceland so we recommend that you wear layers.
– Hiking boots or good trail running shoes
– Warm layers that are comfortable and easy to adjust according to conditions
– Weatherproof jacket and pants depending on forecast
– Headwear and gloves
– Small daypack is recommended for carrying extras such as a water bottle and extra layers.
